The Institute is involved in sponsoring "Dignity Packages" to economically challenged women in Chicago, Illinois, Denver Colorado, Houston Texas, and West Virginia. This project is intended to remind the recipients, regardless of race, creed, or color, that there are people who care about them and behavior can change for the better. The packages include clothing, personal toiletries and beauty products and also things for their children. In some small way, this will soften the hard time of a strained economy and the hardships of life's realities.
The Institute is also has a major project of securing educational books, magazines and materials to send to Monrovia Liberia to start a Criminal Justice Institute at the African Methodist Episcopal Resource Center. If anyone would like to participate in this project, please call the Institute.
The Institute have put on Awards Luncheons where local heroes who have gone beyond their profession to assist the community.
The Institute co-sponsored “I Love My Children” Project with the Department of Human Services of New Orleans, Louisiana on celebrating Mother’s Day.
