ISJ has a long history of initiating conferences, workshops, and symposiums, at various locations locally, nationally, and international. The institute has worked in the criminal justice system with law enforcement officers, researchers, correction officials in the area of probation and parole, juvenile justice specialists and professors.
Below are a few of the conferences we have initiated and worked in partnership with providing expertise in crime prevention and other issues that's important to the community.

The journey begins on March 16, 2010. Visit seven countries (England, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy). You will have the opportunity to visit these countries traveling on the Eurostar Train or the "Bullet Train", which is known as the fastest train in the world. While traveling by train, you'll "eat, sleep and be merry" because this is an experience of a lifetime! You will meet with the counterparts in your profession or field of expertise in seven international cities to discuss "best practices" in violence prevention, law enforcement and social science fields. You can exchange information and ideas, discuss community policing, crime prevention, probation & parole programs, re-entry programs, community correction programs, substance abuse and youth programs and court issues, as well, while visiting the courts. This will open the door to collaboration and partnership. The camaraderie will be immeasurable!
And….for the educational and cultural part of this venture, you will tour Scotland Yard and other police facilities, Westminster Abbey and the changing of the guard, take mini-tours in several cities, encounter beautiful sceneries, perhaps experience wine-tasting in Paris, dine on fine cuisine and delicacies, and see sights that you've never imagined.
